A portion of Shaw Hall has reopened for campus-wide use. Upon the return from spring break West Liberty’s health services office and the campus police moved in to the ground floor of Shaw Hall.
To access both areas, students must travel to the back of Shaw Hall and enter through the bottom doors that are accompanied by a cement ramp.
Pictured below is the director of health services. Christy Bennington’s, front desk and waiting room area. The other image is of one of the new examination rooms.
Since last semester West Liberty’s health services office was relocated to the lobby of the Krise Hall dormitory.
Since the office has returned to Shaw its hours of operation remain the same. From Monday through Friday the office is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The campus police was temporarily located in a trailer placed outside of Main Hall. Campus police provides 24-hour-a-day patrol of West Liberty’s campus. In case of an emergency students can contact campus police at 304-336-8021.
Work continues on the other three floors of Shaw Hall. The process of moving other campus offices into Shaw Hall will take place after the interior work is complete which is expected to take place at the end of the spring semester.
